Week 2
Tuesday: Today we have our second Tuesday group assignment. Although most everyone did yeoman's work in finishing the two Webassign HW from last week a few were not able to finish. The (new) due date is Wednesday.
Wednesday: Today we finish Section 2.5 (skipping Section 2.4). The WedAssign HW for 2.5 is due Saturday Sept 7.
Friday: Professor Bessaih finished Section 2.6, and the WebAssign HW for 2.6 is posted, so you might get started. It won't be due until next Saturday, Sept 14.

Week 1
Monday: Today your task is to open both your ALEKS and WebAssign accounts, and to start working on the ALEKS review. If you are able to score 80% or better on your "mastered" content of the Preparation for Calculus course, you will get 75 points and avoid paying for the ALEKS access. Whenever you complete, whether it's now or in 6 weeks, please take a screen capture of an ALEKS screen that confirms your completed status. Keep that evidence, and send me a copy. This is our first time using ALEKS in this fashion, and we don't yet know what might go wrong :-)
Tuesday: Today's assignment is due at the end of the day, next Tuesday. My comments at the end of the day included: (1) The focus of Question 1 finding a pattern, and using the symbols to restate the pattern; (2) The focus of Question 2 is the power of the symbols, and difficulty of finding good symbols; and (3) The focus of Question 3 is the variety of statements one can make with limit notation.
Wednesday: The first Webassign HW covers Section 2.2 and is due Saturday 8/31. Should be able to do all the questions after today's class. Hints: (1) use technology to get the desired accuracy; and (2) Question 10 assumes that the tangent terms are evaluated in radians.
Friday: The second WebAssign HW covers Section 2.3. I've extended its due date to Monday 9/2.
